Hey guys. Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve been spending the past several months working on getting my life back in track, and things are looking much brighter now. I’ve landed a PC Tech job at Staples, so I’m in catchup mode in getting bills caught up. But, since I’ve been much more relaxed without the weight of job hunting on my shoulders, I’ve been taking the time to get caught up with the latest news in the open source community.
Not specifically related to CG technology, I’d like to point out that OpenOffice has been officially ported to Mac OS X natively. For those of you who love open source applications as much as myself, this is awesome news! No long will we have to deal with X11′s restrictions to application design. Now that we have a native port, I do hope that the developer take a keen interest in utilizing OS X’s Core Technology. I haven’t been able to download the new release yet, since their servers have taken a huge hit on traffic since the 3.0 release. Once I do, I’ll be sure to post a followup.
